We are looking for a solid technical individual with rich industry experience and diverse skills ranging from traditional distributed computing to hands-on expertise in artificial intelligence. Responsibilities
  • Designs and builds scalable, backend‑focused software services and distributed systems that improve service reliability, performance, security, and efficiency, supporting high‑volume geospatial and location‑based workloads in production. 
  • Applies engineering techniques and machine learning solutions to solve complex geospatial suggestion and location search problems in production. 
  • Works on core technology and engineering stack to deliver features to ensure premium service quality internationally. 
  • Experiments with new technologies such as LLMs to improve quality and efficiency of the system. 
  • Designs and builds software functionalities to improve service reliability, scalability, performance, security, efficiency, etc. 
  • Collaborates with partner teams to understand their geospatial services requirements, develop high quality services & solutions to deliver value to our customers. 


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages, C++ & C
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years work experience with coding in languages, C++ & C
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years work experience with coding in languages, C++ & C
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Capable of designing and implementing scalable production quality services and automated solutions to process large scale data 
  • Solid collaborative and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Maps/Geospatial experience. 
  • Understanding of Azure or other cloud services/functions. 
  • Leveraging Agentic Productivity Tools for tasks. 
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries and experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence projects.

Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 – $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 – $215,400 per year.

Qualifications
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, with a focus on LLMs, agent systems, or reinforcement learning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with prompt engineering, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool use, planning agents, and long-context modeling, etc.
  • Familiarity with model training pipelines using PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or similar frameworks, evaluation strategies, and model deployment best practices.
  • Strong coding and debugging skills, and comfort working in cross-functional, agile environments.
  • Experience on office document generation and related applications is a plus.

  • Building and owning production machine learning models to improve results.
  • Working hands on with SOTA generative models like Qwen, Llama, Mistral, GPT and others, to deliver big impact.
  • Finding insights and forming hypothesis on large-scale data with various machine learning, feature engineering, statistical, and data mining techniques: e.g. regression, classification, NLP, optimization.
  • Professional working experience on prompt engineering with large LLMs like GPT, Gemini, Claude etc.
  • Designing experiments, understanding the resulting data, and producing actionable, trustworthy conclusions from them.

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • Strategic Advisor: Act as a thought partner and strategic ally to leaders, while simultaneously serving as an honest broker to teams across the organization. You play the role of a true confidant and trusted advisor to the CVP and broader leadership team. Responsibilities

 

  • Design, operate, and maintain large-scale HPC environments, drawing on hands-on engineering experience in production settings.
  • Own the deployment, configuration, and day-to-day operation of HPC schedulers (e.g., SLURM, Kubernetes), ensuring reliable and efficient job scheduling at scale.
  • Serve as a technical owner for at least one core HPC domain (GPU compute, high-performance storage, networking, or similar), including ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of massive clusters.
  • Develop and maintain automation and tooling using Bash and/or Python to improve cluster reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with researchers and engineers to support their workloads, troubleshoot cluster usage issues, and triage failed or underperforming jobs to resolution.
  • Drive work forward independently by navigating ambiguity and technical roadblocks, delivering incremental improvements that get capabilities into users’ hands quickly.
