We are pleased to introduce the Microsoft AI Diagnostic Orchestrator (MAI-DxO), a system designed to address complex diagnostic challenges in medicine by simulating collaborative clinical reasoning. Tested on 304 cases from the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), it achieved over 85% accuracy—surpassing experienced doctors—while reducing associated costs. While early research we’re exploring next steps on safety testing and clinical validation.
