The Microsoft Ads Algorithm team in STCA runs end-to-end modeling across the ads stack, including recall, relevance, click and conversion prediction, ad creative generation, auctions, and the underlying machine learning platform. The team made substantial contributions to Microsoft’s multi‑billion‑dollar advertising business. We are seeking an experienced talent manager to lead the ads relevance area.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. •    Lead a sizable the relevance team for Bing Ads in STCA and leverage the state-of-the-art ML techniques, especially LLM to improve ad relevance.
•    Collaborate with US partners on joint business accountability 
•    Drive technique innovation, including collaborating with MSR researchers on experimenting new techniques, exploring latest advancements in industry and diving deeper into DSATs and system issues to identify new improvement opportunities.

•    As people manager, deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ year(s) of people management experience.
• LLM related application experience.
• 6+ years ML experience in search or recommendation area. 

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR equivalent experience.
• LLM post training experience.
• Experience on relevance and quality.
